We provide onsite x-ray, pulmonary function testing, allergy testing, labs, chest ultrasound, sleep studies and CPAP equipment with supplies. Our diagnostic sleep disorders center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for both in-lab and home sleep studies. We also take pride in being a teaching facility in addition to being primarily a community based medical practice. We teach and train medical providers of the future including residents, medical students, respiratory therapist and medical assistants. We offer Telemedicine and In Office services at our two full time locations. Our State of the Art medical facility located in Hamilton Mill-Dacula just off exit 120 on I-85 serving Gwinnett and Hall counties is our main office. Our second office is located in Winder, and serves Barrow, Jackson and Walton counties. Our providers have years of medical research experience studying the newest medications in the pulmonary field. If left untreated or improperly treated, asthma may cause a long-term decline in lung function Chronic Bronchitis Chronic Bronchitis, a common type of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Patients with chronic bronchitis have limited airflow because of narrowed airways swollen and filled with mucus COPD Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, COPD. Quality of life for a person suffering from COPD may decrease as the disease progresses Emphysema Emphysema is a common type Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Tiny air sacs (alveoli) are damaged leaving the patient unable to exhale all of the air which gets trapped in the air sacs Pulmonary Hypertension Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a disease that causes the arteries in the lungs to have increased pressure which causes shortness of breath and low oxygen in the blood. Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a rare progressive disease of the lungs that prior to 2015, no effective therapy was available. Pleural Effusion Pleural effusion, or fluid accumulating between the lungs and the chest wall, is a very common complication of a lot of diseases including infection, malignancy, liver cirrhosis, kidney failure and most commonly heart failure. Sarcoidosis Sarcoidosis is a multi-system disease that most commonly involves the lungs. Respiratory symptoms can be nonspecific such as shortness of breath or cough. Lung Cancer Lung cancer is a disease caused by the rapid growth & division of cells that make up the lungs. Referred to as bronchogenic cancer, it may be described by the type of tissue that is diseased. Navigational Bronchoscopy Navigational bronchoscopy is a new cutting edge technology that uses existing CT images to create a 3D road map for specialists to navigate and approach lung lesions that need to be biopsied without a single cut to the patient. Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound The Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) is a new minimally invasive, highly effective technique used to diagnose and stage lung cancer, infections, and other diseases causing enlarged lymph nodes in the chest.
